More about courses
Courses run for 1 term (8-10 wks) starting in January, April and
September each year. They are taught at Entry Level, Level 1 or Level 2
and many are accredited through the Open College Network (OCN). Each
term's timetable aims to reflect what parents have said they want.
Courses on offer this term
ESOL Beginners (Run by City and Islington College) Pre Entry and Entry level 1 for those with English as a second language.
ESOL Entry 2 & 3 (Run by WEA) Entry level 2 and 3 for those with English as a second language.
Getting ready for work, with literacy support -
For
those who have already completed 'Preparing to work with children in
schools' Level 1 and who are ready to find work. The course will
include interview practice and provide help with completing
application forms. Please contact us to reserve a place. Places are limited. This course is funded for Islington residents only. Unfortunately, there is no creche.

Welfare Benefits Advice Mary
Ward Legal Centre offer free advice on benefits and debt. Every
fortnight. Appointments necessary. For residents of postcodes N1
and EC1 and those using The Parent House.
Employment Support We
now have Oge from Islington Working every fortnight to offer
support to parents/carers looking for work. Please telephone to book an
appointment.
Computer Drop-in Our computer room is available for parents who want a quiet place to use the computers for study or to access the internet.
