About the crèche
The Parent House provides a free Ofsted registered crèche for learners attending courses. The crèche can accommodate 7 children aged 6 months to 4 years and is staffed by a qualified multi-lingual team. The crèche has a safe outdoor space. The small size and keyworker system ensures that children receive a lot of individual attention and are settled in well.
How can I get a place in the crèche?
When you enrol for your course, you will have the chance to enrol your child in the crèche. On the first day of class, staff will help you fill out a short form and talk to you about settling in. We welcome family members or friends to help interpret. The small size of the crèche means that places are limited. We operate a first come, first served system and cannot guarantee a place.
What happens if my child is upset?
A lot of work is done to settle new children sensitively. If your child is upset, a member of staff will come to your class and ask you to go to the creche. Tutors understand that settling your child is a priority and will support you wherever possible to make up time lost from class. Many children settle easily and quickly but some take longer. Parents may find it helpful, if they have spent a lot of time settling their child, to enrol on the class again the next term. This is perfectly acceptable.
