Why have a crèche?
The Parent House believes that in order to feel comfortable and confident enough to learn and develop, parents need a safe and easily accessible place to leave their children. They need to feel that their children are well looked after, treated with respect according to their own cultural beliefs and happy. Most parents prioritise their child's welfare before considering what it is they themselves want to do.
Does a good crèche help Parents?
Many parents want to learn and develop their interests but find it difficult to get childcare. During courses, The Parent House provides pre-school childcare to Learners but also acknowledges that many parents also have to collect older children from school. Courses are timetabled to allow this. Only when a parent knows that all of their children are catered for, can they learn and develop successfully.
Does a good crèche help children?
Children successfully settled into a pre-school social environment find it easier to adapt to Nursery and Reception classes at school. Children who spend time in the crèche at The Parent House begin the adjustment to socialisation and entry to school. Many of the children move on to the nursery at Winton school. As the two gardens overlook they can wave and chat and really benefit from the closeness to a familiar environment and friendly faces.
