| The idea for a Parent House at Winton Primary School arose from a growing understanding of the needs of parents around King's Cross,
an area of well-documented problems and challenges. The Head teacher and governors of Winton believed that by supporting parents they would be able to help their children too. |

A small house on the school premises was renovated, a Charity was set up in order to raise the necessary funds
and the building opened in Spring 2000. Many of the Trustees have been with the project since it opened and share the same vision. |
| The Parent House has become well used by parents from Winton Primary school and also from the local community. The Parent House continues to develop it's services to improve the learning experience
and to support more people. |
